This is a pet friendly home for one small dog, under 20 pounds. Pets must be pre-approved and a pet fee is required. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in a $500.00 fine.
Only adults (25 years old and older) may reserve this property and an adult must occupy the property at all times.
This home has exterior cameras for security purposes.
This 5 bedroom, 3 bath mountain lodge sits on almost 2 acres. Enjoy the newly designed garden landscaping and water feature as you approach the front door entry. New outdoor living decks provide for year-round mountain views and feature a wood burning outdoor fireplace. The main level consists of a king bed primary living suite with mountain views, a newly constructed bathroom with walk-in shower and free-standing bathtub. Also on main level are two additional bedrooms, one queen bed with mountain views through a large bay window, and a second room with 2 sets of bunk beds for the kids, or the young at heart, to enjoy. These bedrooms share a newly renovated bathroom with shower tub.
Downstairs is the family entertainment hub with a great game room and two additional bedrooms, one king and one queen, plus a newly renovated bathroom. Gather everyone and lounge on the oversized sleeper sectional sofa while watching movies on the 65-inch TV above the stone gas fireplace. Feeling competitive? Challenge someone in a game of Foosball, Buck Hunter Pro arcade, or a good game of cards on the tall game table. Craving some relaxing quiet time? While everyone's downstairs, disappear to the main level with a beverage and lounge in front of the gas fireplace while enjoying the mountain views with wood beam ceilings above.
The kitchen comes fully equipped with all the conveniences from home. Enjoy meals at the oversized kitchen island, or dine family style around the dining table. Or, you may choose to dine on the back deck table for six while enjoying the mountain air, sounds and views.
The lodge has been crafted into a place where family & friends can gather and relax with carefree comfort in one of the most desirable spots of western North Carolina. While this home provides every amenity for a comfortable and relaxing stay in peace, the lodge is just a few minutes from the highly sought after life on Main Street. There you will find scores of fine dining restaurants like Madison’s Wine Garden, Wild Thyme or Cypress. Or enjoy a show at The Highlands Playhouse or Performing Art Center. Don't forget about the Old Edwards Inn and Spa for a relaxing massage, as well as all the wonderful boutique shopping stores, ice cream shops or coffee shop. Just a two-block walk from Main Street is the Ugly Dog and Pub which features live bluegrass music on Wednesdays.

*Owners Note* After a decade of staying in Highlands with my wife, and now our 3 children, we did a crazy thing and bought a mountain lodge. It has turned out to be one of the best decisions we've ever made. It truly gives us a piece of our hearts back each time we visit. We enjoy quality time and making lasting memories. Spring, Summer and Fall are all wonderful times to visit Highlands. There's lots of beautiful hikes, waterfalls, shopping, restaurants, gem mining, swimming holes, and the local rec center has an indoor pool and playground for younger children to enjoy. Highlands Aerial Park is available for those who really seek adventure in the mountains. All are within minutes away. Check it out and find out why we can't get enough! Cancellation Policy
In the event of a cancellation by tenant, a reservation canceled between 0-45 days prior to arrival is not eligible to receive a refund. If more than 45 days notice is given, tenant shall receive a refund of all payments made by tenant, less an administrative fee of 10% of the Total Cost of the Reservation.

Spacious Lodge! We will definitely be back to this house. The screened in porch with a fireplace was absolutely spectacular. Our kids loved the huge basement. The house was clean, all the modern amenities and extremely well maintained.
